Multitude Monday

41.  I found myself being somewhat anxious last week about many things...and then the Lord brought this verse to my mind:  For who hath despised the day of small things? Zechariah 4:10
Thank you Lord for your patience with me...such a weak instrument.

42.  The small things...I guess it was our theme last week...I came home on Thursday after an extremely busy day to find this on my night stand...from my very thoughtful daughter, Lauren!  I had shared with her that I used to crave these cookies but it had been years since I had enjoyed one...or two.

 43.  A day out with Luke and Jonathan...thank you boys for all the lifting and loading at Sams!

44.  The progress of all of our music students!  Great job, boys!

45.  For our daughter, Megan...thank you so much for helping me with all the tek stuff! I love our chats and miss you so much!

46.  I am so grateful for my husband, Paul...who took our son, Luke, on a special father/son trip!

47.  Movie night with the gang!  We love Gary Cooper movies!
Friendly Persuasion

48.  My new bread maker...so thankful we can have fresh bread in the summer without melting the house!!

 49.  A meal prepared by Ethan...and the boys loved it!

50.  An afternoon out with most of the gang...and supper out to boot!

For The Beauty of the Earth

I love spring! The boys and I look forward to watching all of the usual visitors to our bird feeders and hope to catch a glimpse of a few new ones as well. I love to take in the fresh air, sunshine, birds, flowers, trees, and nature all around us as we soak up the sunshine on a nature walk. We spotted an eagle on our trek this week!! I wasn't fast enough to snap a picture, though!! We took our sketch pads and chose various things to add to our nature notebooks. I am not an artist by any stretch of the imagination, but I do find it relaxing to at least attempt it. The boys enjoy the activity and I see real progress in their notebooks. Samuel is our artist and he was so encouraging to me as I was drawing a wildflower..."good job, mom"!! How sweet! Of course the boys had to wade the creek and our springer took a swim as well. It was a wonderful way to start our day!

For the Beauty of the Earth
by Folliott S. Pierpoint

For the Beauty of the earth, For the glory of the skies,
For the love which from our birth Over and around us lies,
Lord of all, to Thee we raise This our hymn of grateful praise.

For the beauty of each hour, Of the day and of the night,
Hill and vale, and tree and flow'r, Sun and moon, and stars of light,
Lord of all, to Thee we raise This our hymn of grateful praise.

For the joy of human love, Brother, sister, parent, child,
Friends on earth, and friends above, For all gentle thoughts and mild,
Lord of all, to Thee we raise This our hymn of grateful praise.

For Thy church that evermore Lifteth holy hands above,
Off''ring up on every shore Her pure sacrifice of love,
Lord of all, to Thee we raise This our hymn of grateful praise.

Resurrection Sunday!

One Day

One day when heaven was filled with his praises,
One day when sin was as black as could be,
Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin
Dwelt among men, my example is he!

One day they led him up Calvary's mountain,
One day they nailed him to die on the tree,
Suffering anguish, despised and rejected;
Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is he!

One day they left him alone in the garden,
One day he rested, from suffering free;
Angels came down over his tomb to keep vigil;
Hope of the hopeless my Savior is he!

One day the grave could conceal him no longer,
One day the stone rolled away from the door;
Then he arose, over death he had conquered;
Now is ascended, my Lord evermore!

One day the trumpet will sound for his coming,
One day the skies with his glory will shine;
Wonderful day, my beloved ones bringing;
Glorious Savior, this Jesus is mine!

Living, he loved me; dying, he saved me;
Buried, he carried my sins far away;
Rising, he justified freely forever:
One day he's coming, oh, glorious day!
